The Assassins Creed Remake
Assassin’s Creed was released on November 13, 2007; it has been 14 years since Ubisoft released its first instalment. The game was way ahead of its time, judging by its gameplay and graphics. As time passed by, the Gaming experience has evolved with its new hardware, which gave us a very realistic approach to graphics and gameplay. Even though the game was way ahead of time with its graphics, it’s rather dull nowadays compared to Assassins creed Vallhalla, the latest instalment of the Assassins Creed franchise.
However, nowadays, a new trend is on the horizon where gaming companies are visiting their old games with remakes, Mafia 1 Definitive Edition, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, naming a few. However, there’s light at the end of the tunnel; Ubisoft is developing a Prince of Persia Sands of the Time remake. It is a clear indication that Ubisoft could be leaning towards remaking classic games of the series. Its time we get an Assassins creed Remake
Things Needed For A Perfect Remake of Assassins Creed
After Assassins Creed Syndicate, Ubisoft took a more RPG-style approach towards its series inspired by The Witcher 3:The Wild Hunt and returned with AC Origins in 2017.
Graphics: It would be awesome to see Altair, and locations like Jerusalem Acre and Masyaf in today’s graphics would be very remarkable, and it would hit players with nostalgia. Ubisoft could implement the graphics of Assassins creed unity. Polishing those old assets of the game 1 Anvil 2.0 (game engine) would make an incredible gaming experience and indeed make an awesome Assassins creed game.
Gameplay: A remake of the original game doesn’t necessarily need to adopt this new gameplay style to make it similar to what’s available now. It should stick to the traditional AC series; they could bring back AC Black Flag combat style where players can fight with hidden blades, unlike Valhalla and Odyssey.
Missions: Ubisoft could improve the missions by a mile; they could include additional side missions like assassinations contracts featured in The Ezio trilogy. Missions of the original game had complaints of repetitive missions. They could also include side missions which should have side stories of their own.
Parkour: When it comes to Assassins creed, parkour is a vital aspect of the game as it defines the assassins of the game; jumping from buildings to buildings would look incredible with the gameplay mechanics of unity. Altair would look stunning with the parkour system of Unity.
Social stealth: Ac series is famous for social stealth. The plot will take place during the Third Crusade in the Holy Land in 1191. The social stealth should be the same as the original game.
Ubisoft has made a lot of revenue with recent Assassins creed games but they have also lost many fans of the series I think its time for the company to revisit the old classics that brought the series this far.
